VINNumber.Info is operated by Engineering and Trading LTD, 30 Outram Road, Southsea, PO5 1RA, United Kingdom. These terms apply when you use the website, create an account, contribute a vehicle entry, or buy a membership. Contact us through the contact page if you have a question.

What the site provides

VINNumber.Info is a vehicle identification reference database. Entries may show identifying features, vehicle details, and photographs contributed by users. The site is not a VIN decoder, official vehicle register, inspection, valuation, or vehicle-history report. Check important information against the vehicle, its documents, and an appropriate independent source before buying or relying on it.

Accounts and memberships

Give accurate account information, keep your sign-in details secure, and tell us if you suspect unauthorised access. Memberships provide the gallery access, duration, and viewing allowance shown on the plan and checkout pages when you buy. Opening an entry can use a view allowance; entries already recorded as viewed may remain available under the applicable membership rules. Access also depends on a valid membership. A free view or promotional offer, when available, is governed by the conditions shown with that offer.

We may suspend access for misuse, fraud, security concerns, or a serious breach of these terms. We will not limit any rights you have under applicable consumer law.

Payments and cancellation

Review the price, duration, and access details shown for a membership before placing an order. Card payments are processed by Stripe. Contact us through the contact page if any payment or access term is unclear or if an issue occurs.

If you are a consumer, you may have a legal right to cancel an online purchase within 14 days. The rules can depend on the service supplied and whether you requested immediate access. Any information or confirmation required for immediate supply should be provided during checkout. These terms do not remove your statutory rights.

Vehicle entries and images

You are responsible for material you submit. Submit only information and images you have the right to share, and do not include another person's private information without an appropriate basis. New entries may require approval before they appear. We may correct, reject, hide, or remove material that is inaccurate, unlawful, unsafe, or contrary to these terms.

You keep any rights you have in your contribution. By submitting it, you give Engineering and Trading LTD permission to host, edit for presentation and safety, and display it as part of VINNumber.Info and its normal operation. This permission lasts while the contribution is available on the site, subject to applicable law and any agreement with you.

Permitted use

Use the site for lawful vehicle research and contributions. Do not scrape or bulk copy entries, bypass gallery or image access controls, interfere with other users, upload malicious material, or use automated requests that disrupt the service. Links to external sites, including vehicle-history partners, lead to services governed by their own terms.

Availability and responsibility

We work to keep the service available and vehicle information useful, but user-contributed entries can contain errors or omissions. We may maintain, change, or temporarily interrupt the site. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or limits your statutory consumer rights.

Privacy and changes

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. We may update these terms; the date above identifies the current version. Material changes will apply prospectively, subject to applicable law.
